| Hey guys! I promised something to blast you all away in my introduction there. Well, this won't be the full blast yet, just a little teaser as I'm busy working through some crap for university here, but I still wanted to show you this little beauty: It's an all metal, fully functional (well, except shooting) Sterling replica by a German guy who used to be a precision mechanic in the weapons department of the German army. I'll have more (and hopefully) better pics up of it tomorrow, and maybe a little video showing it in action, too

| Good thing to know I have one like that waiting for me at your place, Dan. You take good care of my baby until January 29th, will you? | |

| I just finished modding this little baby, and although I was hoping to take some decent pics, I forgot to bring my girlfriend's camera with me, so I was stuck to using my old craptastic digicam... read: Sorry for the crappy pics. But here they are. As Dennis said I have another one of those babies here, so you guys can see what I've done to mine, but here's a quick rundown: Alterations: - removed the paint of the trigger mechanism - redid the scope rail to sit lower and go straight into the first barrel hole Additions: - added the power cylinders (included with the blaster, but not installed) - real metal Hengstler with Eagle (slapped it on with glue, screen accuracy ftw!) - T-tracks from Saberfreak So here's some pics: Here's a few differences to a real Sterling: - weighs only 1.5kg roughly (that's a third of a real Sterling) - the main barrel is 2mm too thin in diameter - no writings on the mag receiver - mag receiver and mag aren't conical - end cap slightly different - it doesn't shoot! These are done in small runs of 5 blasters, we were part of the first, there's a second planned right now with I think 2 blasters spoken for, if anyone's interested, PM me, I can hook you up!

| Oh yeah, it has a few dings and scratches already, but it's still waaay too pristine looking, I'll have to bang it up a little and put some grime on it in the next few days | |

| Very nice Dan If you want to weather it nicely put it in a large bag with other metal objects like spanners and toss it about a bit.. Should make it in a few places. | |

| Piece of crap, Dan. I'll be over in the Ruhr Valley area sometime later this year. I'll pick it up and take it to the tip for you. Save you the trouble, OK? | |

| I really llike these all metal blasters - are they heavy to handle for long periods? | |

| 1.3 kilograms, so yeah, they do get heavy after a while. But the feel of real metal and all the functionality really overrides any feelings of heaviness, I can tell ya... This gun is still lighter than my resin MG34, which I usually troop with. | |

| I'm on the list for the next (current) run, so hopefully I'll be getting one of these babys by the end of the summer! Did you guys fix the scope rail yourselves (and if so, would you mind making a tutorial of sorts) or did you get them to fix it before shipping? | |

| We fixed them ourselves, using "off the shelf" aluminium track from the DIY store next door. In fact all 4 blasters from the first run were equipped with t-tracks here in my bunk, and both Dennis' and my blaster were modded here. It's fairly simple to fix the scope rail, I will see if I can take some pictures for you! But maybe you can let Jörg know and they can simply make it the way you want it right away. Might be worth a shot, just show him the pics of my blaster and say "make it that way, please" | |

| Ah, cool! I'm sure some pictures would be nice if you posted, but for me, I think I'll try to have them do it. It's currently not practical for me to do it myself. Not sitting on the right tools, nor a good work space. Thanks! | |

| The scope rail that comes installed is affixed with 1 screw each front and back and sits too high and has too many 90° angles. Unscrew it, get a piece of aluminium of the right size and bend it to your liking. Then thin out the front part, hook it into the last topside hole on the blaster and screw it into the rear sight with a riser. I hope I got that across right. Dan might chime in and further clear matters up. | |
