help/advice w/ANH sandie hdpe

hello guys i am coming to the pro's with advice/help with a hdpe ANH helmet i am going to use for my new sandtrooper helmet.
here are some pics, my friend gave me this assembled and i was going to show you guys and get your opions:)

this is how i got it so now i really want to make it look nice since mt TE2 it worn and ready to retie.I have noticed the space on the ears where one seems to sit/been cut differnt than the other?will this be ok?any way to possible fix?
