Eyelets for the ab->kidney strapping

I'm upgrading my strapping with some split rivets on the ab plate and kidney piece, and I wonder if the metal rings seen on the ANH suits, and the 1mm TM suits are eyelets (going through the fabric and has an identical part on the back side of the fabric) or are just washers laid on top of the elastic, as re-enforcement, before "closing" the split rivet.

Never mind, I figured this out myself.

I'll be using only ordinary washers on top of the elastic before splitting the rivet.

Sorry missed this - yep they are just washers..
