1mm TM ANH with screen accurate strapping

I just finished building this baby and want to share the pics from my first test fit.
It's very easy to put on unassisted thanks to the SA strapping, and man do i love the flex of this beauty!






Here's me in my TM with my all metal E-11 with real Eagle Hengstler:




My gut really want's to show side gaps - well, what can I say, I love my beer and Schnitzel and Wurst!

Now you guys tell me how to weather it convincingly. Any methods you guys prefer besides a good beating with rubber trim?
Oh, and I'm building another HDPE chipper style lid to go with this (CAP-West), but the TM lid stays in ABS colour for casual trooping .

Very smart - you did a great job

Paul just pointed out a couple minor details over at FISD:

- my belt snaps are not centered on the belt itself
- should've used pop rivets for the holster attachment
- didn't trim the ears enough
- should have used screws instead of pop rivets for the canister/deto clips

I guess I'll remedy most of these ASAP.
Any ideas on how to remove snaps without destroying the belt?

To remove the snaps you can use side cutters Like this

I repositioned the faceplate because the initial tilt was too extreme and thus the face sat too high in the dome.

This is how it looks now:





After I snapped those pics, I shortened the ears and removed the flashing on the bottom (near the neck trim).

What size rivets were used to attach the holster to the belt?
And any ideas/suggestions how to remove the endcaps from the detonator? I just pushed them into place but can nit for the life of me take them off again... hot water bath didn't do anything.

Gently heat them with a heatgun or hairdryer to remove the end caps.

But one thing...the story with the chin strap, in ANH and ESB were the details relatively equal.
Was also with the chin strap? The question is, were the snaps always distributed equally?!... or was it always different?!?!
Dennis, you have on the left side (plan view at the helmet) 1 snap at the strap and on the right side, you have 2 snaps. I had only seen such a picture ( ESB helmet-2 snaps on the right side and 1 nsap ont the left)-

That's what I used as reference for all my stunt ANH helmets so far.

Talking about helmets, here is the base for the chipped, f-d up helmet to go along with the TM:

....i just followed this picture as a reference.

This is after weathering, again not really showing up in the photos (sucky camera, sucky photographer).

The 2nd pic shows that a painted helmet and unpainted suit can definitely go together!

Check out the slight flexing of the chest plate - I love this suit!

That's the only area (besides the gut... :D ) that seems a little problematic with the screen accurate strapping. I'll see what I can do about that.

Nice suit dude.TM really has captured that ANH feel with these suits hasn`t he.You`ve done a great job putting it together too.
