Because im only 5ft 7 and quite slim, with a smaller return edge it allows me to heat and reshape the parts better without them cracking or buckling up ... and yes MonkeyPaw the handplates are ABS with this build

| I'm 5'9" and have the old short legs, long body thing. The length of TK legs always get me, I end up walking like 3PO. | |

| After trying Garys legs on the other weekend i rekon i'll get away with leaving the thighs uncut (can hear Billy's sigh of relief!! Lol ) .. and just trim off the bottom of the calfs. Although i will take out the back of the knee on the thigh parts and some of the depth just for personal looks and comfort | |

not just Billy mate. Good to see this all comming together.I trimmed the back of the thighs and the shins. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] you can see at the back of this screen suit that the thighs and the shins are trimmed.I would add that they look more smashed than trimmed but this arrangement will really help your mobility.

| Well had a good day with the Armour building today, so thought i would post up my progress .... Thanks to Pete for the tip of making up a template strip for cutting the Armour pieces to size to take the cover strips! However, after several injurys ... im not too sure about his tip for the mental Neyodium Magnets!! Anyway ..... first off i cut some lengths of ABS for the cover strips. I cut them at 15mm as i guessed by the time i had sanded them nicely they would be roughly 13mm. I then cut to length the pieces i needed for the Forearms and Biceps and marked them accordingly ... I had already resized the Forearms and Biceps as i am quite small, so didnt want them to be too big for me ... i think i took approx 5cm out of the diameter of both ... | I put the Biceps together first by running some Plastic Weld down the seems to hold the Biceps together, before glueing the Cover strips with E6000 ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
