Lets see your helmet collections

TE2 ESB assembled by TK4510, i gave it a couple of more coats of white and finished with TK4510 decals and painted the frown and ears. Just needs lenses and paint to finish the ears. Thanks to Tony, Mike and Dave  :D






I also got this TE Hero in the post last week and have been putting in some padding for trooping, it came fully finished, thanks Andy  :D

My T*E hdpe i have recently removed the ears and chipped the paint a little more, i like this more this way..




My AP esb, this was the first helmet i built up, finished with hand painted details and decals from Mike TK4510.

This is my first TE2, painted to match the sloppyness of the ANH stunt helmets. All hand painted apart from the tube stripes..



All these pictures are a bit on the small side but were taken using my cell phone, as i need to buy more batteries for my digi cam, so i may redo them at a later date.

Ok i have since finished the esb helmet after taking those pics and a freind of mine who is into photography popped over the other night and took a few pics of my lids, enjoy

This is pretty much what i had left in my collection
I tried the best as i can for this one,but it seems i failed to shape that right eye 'bump',and the hdpe color is darker than what i had planed after the white paint chipped off. I paint it 3 light coat for the white,and hand painted the details,it got bad tube stripes
I only filled the forehead and try not to spread it too wide on other surface. i cant find the courage to fix the other mold defects.
The other problem that i unhappy with is that i reshaping the eyes more after i paint it,wont repeat that mistakes again,if i had another.

truth is,i also liked it before the sandtrooper weathering,must have another helmet for that

The first 8 pictures are fantastic,I think you have the eyes trimmed just fine. I suffer from OCD so always trim my eyes out to neat,but the original helmets just were not like that.Yours is 100% spot on.Now make picture 9 like the others and its a 10 out of 10 from me.

The problem is,i re-trim the eyes after i paint it,so there's quite a lot of paint chipping on the edges.
2/3 chipped paints on that area is fine for me,but it looks like its going to be 5-6 now
Next time i will make sure that i was satisfied with the cut 100%,then paint
Will make up new pics sir!

One thing i would like to point out guys on your HDPE Chipped replica helmets is,

Their are NO paint chips on the ears.This is because the origianls had white plastic painted white so any paint chips would still be white.

Something to consider if you are replicating the paint chip look.

Yes, That I'm aware of, since the ears were ABS. So I'll look into how to get the paint back onto those.

However it still looks pretty bad ass with the chips on the ears. If it stormtroopers were real, I'd doubt the ears would be in a different material than the rest of the helmet and receive the same kind of scuffs. But that is just my imagination.

Hey buddy it's great to see a fellow OCD sufferer. I feel your pain although mine doesn't really bother
me these days as I've learnt to cope well with it.
