Ive had a pair of the Jones' boots - and while they are a nice boot they are not the originals worn in the films

Yeah, I've got some newer boots by Jones and they are very, very close but the elastic is broader and the toe is a bit more pointed.

Still a nice replica though

unfortunatly I've got a pair of timberland quality boots in NZ are a rare find although there was an awesome pair of jones on the bay last week I had a snipe set up on, the auction was pulled prior to the end

So There's still hope however I did wonder recently "just how difficult would they be to make"?

Do we not have a make of the originals yet?

I know John and Paul know. Will they never give it away?

The maker called "The Emerson Boot(s)",i think the overall look is pretty much the same like Paul's,maybe this is the new model(shiny leather,angled elastic etc)

the toes were 'fatter'/'broader' a bit

the number is different

Hi guys,just received my made to order boots today,after almost a year( )this is the 'final' result
It got some off here and there,but the most unfortunate thing is,her craftsman cut the sides(for the elastics) too deep and too wide also makes the openings too big.
The leather is quite soft,maybe it'll get better after i spray painted it........?

Hey guys! As I'm about to get a mannequin for my trooper (w00t!) I just painted the pair of chelsea boots I got a while ago with plastidip. It's liquid rubber, comes in a spraycan or as brush on product, I used the spray (I used it on handguards before and it's quite good stuff!).

I don't know how well it'll hold up to trooping, but it was quick and easy to apply and it looks pretty damn good. I just weathered the boots slightly and ripped off a little on one boot to see what it looks like - mesa likey




Oh yeah I used white acrylic on the elastic part, it would suck in the plastidip like nothing - will have to give them another coat or two, but I'll let them dry properly first

Im going to be working on my armour this weekend and will take some pics of my current boots. Ive been trooping in them for over a year - more like 18 months and they still only have monnor chipping.

If you prep the boots well the paint really sticks..

Does anyone know where to get boots that are a US 13? Jones and Shires do not go large enough.
