| Hey, I'm Laura! I live in Chester and I've just joined the UKG, Nathan recommended that I joined on here. I've been looking online for places to buy TK armour and accessories, but was wondering whether the prices were too high or if they aren't good enough quality for clearance. I know the question "Where do I get Stormtrooper Armour from?” isn't liked on UKG so it's probably the same here... But I wanted to know whether the best way to go is to buy the "ready to wear" armours or to buy one and fit them yourself. I've been browsing on the SDSprops site ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ) and wanted to know whether there were better places to look than here. If anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction that would be awesome! Thanks, Laura. | |

| Hi Laura, welcome to the forum. There are always better places to get stuff from than SDS. This thread outlines the main suppliers of armour and their prices. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| Hi Laura welcome to LSD I would recommend ; read, read and read before you buy. There are plenty of good armour sellers and plenty of ones to avoid. If in any doubt before buying check with someone with plenty of experience first | |

| Thanks for the help!! Preferably I would like to buy from the UK, but is it hard to find everything from only UK sellers? Also, I'm about 5"5, is it easy to find kits small enough...? I was thinking about buying a ready made one such as on the SDS site, since I am not exactly the most experienced using tools and building things! Is that a bad thing to do? | |

| Hi Laura Nice to see you here mate SDS is not one of the best value for money sets of armour out there.Plus its not one the most troopable as its prone to cracks and splits. As I said to you over on the UKG, your size is not a big issue mate, you'll just have to tweak certain parts like the shins and thighs to give you better mobility, and possibly other parts so that it fits and looks better on you. Please remember that if you buy a fully built suit from someone, regardless of make, you will have to modify it to fit you unless you have had it specifically built to your measuements, and even then you will still need to do a small amount of tweaking here and there. I've replied to your PM over on the 'G' mate, hopefully that will answer some of your questions | |
