I like the real world look for my blasters so heres how its done.
First off a good primmer ready for your top coat.Notice that i have only drilled the holes were the T-Track will push through the pipe. This gives a good glue area for your track and saves drilling all them extra holes.(Top tip on its own)
Then give the Blaster several coats of very high gloss black. Then what i do is go over the whole thing with wire wool. This takes off the shine/Gloss in the main areas, but leaves very small pockets of gloss. Its very subtle but your blaster starts to become very real looking.
Then Add the paint chips on edges etc.Do not go mad less is more in my book. Now the blaster is ready for the final process, Gun oil or in this case a wash of watered down Acylic Burnt Unber. This knocks off the silver shine and lays in the recesses of the weapon.
Hope this tip turns your pipe or resin blaster builds into a very real looking E11 , Now as a Stormtrooper you just need a better aim.
