TE2 ANH Helmet Kit

I was lucky to get myself a TE2 helmet for xmas back in 2007. I was thoroughly impressed by TE2 throughout the transaction and had the main man himself assemble my lid for me.


While i was waiting for the weather to perk up a bit i put together my other helmet esb style but from the start i wanted to build my TE2 to pretty much the same standards as the helmets would have been for the original film. I wanted to try and make this look like what it may have done for the start of filming in 1977

The only thing i have done to the helmet before finishing the build was cut out the teeth a little more and sand the eye sockets, everything else is as it was when it came into my possession

Better pictures will come when its daylight but you get the idea, this is my new favourite prop :D

Will you believe i painted the whole thing by hand, this helmet has not been anywhere near a rattle can. Its a shame the pics dont really show the details, i tried to get a few drips in the paint for added authenticity but there are only 3 small dribbles in the whole thing...

As much as i like mr no stripes here we are with the blues in place..
